Member Support Mission at Armenian NPP

During 25 February to 01 March 2019, in response to request of Armenian NPP, WANO Moscow Center conducted a Member Support Mission (MSM) on the topic ‘Organization of walkdowns of components, buildings and structures. Identification and elimination of deficiencies and deviations resulting from the walkdowns’. 
The following experts took part in the mission:
• Kovalev Evgeny (WANO MC, Russia).
• Lobachev Pavel (Smolensk NPP, Russia).
• Shcherbakov Pavel (Kola NPP, Russia).
• Aksenov Semen (WANO MC, Russia).
• Pakidansky Valentin (Kozloduy NPP, Bulgaria).
• Shchelik Yury (Kalinin NPP, Russia).
MSM goals: 
• borrow good practices of other NPPs and implement them at Armenian NPP when possible, for improvement of walkdown efficiency, identification and addressing of deficiencies and deviations.
MSM was conducted in the format of assist visit. During the assist visit, the MSM experts conducted observations at the plant site, interviews with plant personnel and assessment of personnel performance based on the facts in a selected area. Using their experience and considering the best practices, the MSM team presented problems in each area and a list of recommendations (including metrics) aimed at improvement of walkdowns of plant components, buildings and structures. 
On Friday, 01 March during the final meeting the experts handed over to Armenian NPP representative the draft MSM report with recommendations in problem areas and good aspects.
