At the Armenian NPP “Mini Backgammon Championship 2018” was organized to popularize the backgammon at the ANPP, to improve the level of health and fitness and sports training of the employees. The tournament started in the technical office of the Reactor Department on 8 October, 2018. The teams completely consisting of the ANPP employees participated in the championship.

The championship was held in two stages: initial and final. At the initial stage the participating teams were divided into subgroups by lot and the games of the initial stage were conducted in a round robin format. The teams that took 1^st and 2^nd places in the subgroups got into the semi-finals. The ANPP management and employees and the senior officials of the “International Uranium Enrichment Centre” JSC were present at the final game.

All the participants who got into the finals received money rewards and certificates of appreciation from the senior officials of the “IUEC” JSC.

In the finals the teams of the Centralized Maintenance Department (CMD) and the Instrumentation and Control Department (I&CD) met. The team of the I&C Department was recognized the winner.
