Movses Vardanyan has sent a message of condolence over the death of Yukia Amano, Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency. The message reads in particular:

«It is with great sadness that we learnt of the death of Yukia Amano, Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency.

I remember fondly our recent meeting at the Armenian NPP, during which we discussed the most important issues of mutual interest. In Armenia we’ll always remember Yukia Amano as a sincere friend of our country, who had essentially contributed to strengthening the cooperation between the Republic of Armenia and the International Atomic Energy Agency and to providing assistance to the ANPP.

«On behalf of the Armenian Nuclear Power Plant staff and in my personal capacity I extend our deepest condolences and ask you to convey our words of sympathy and support to Yukika Amano, their relatives and friends»,-reads the General Director’s condolence cable.
