Hakob Vardanyan, the deputy minister of territorial administration and infrastructures of the RA visited the Armenian NPP, became familiar with the progress of the activities implemented in the framework of the ANPP Unit 2 design life extension program and with the process of outage-2019 implementation.

Hakob Vardanyan performed a plant walk-down, he visited the Turbine Department and in the field became familiar with the progress of activities on maintenance and modernization, as well as with further actions.

Then a working meeting headed by the deputy minister was conducted at the ANPP with participation of Vagharshak Ghazaryan, adviser to the minister of territorial administration and infrastructures of the RA, Vardan Martirosyan, head of the Loan and Grant Projects Department, Artem Petrosyan, head of Nuclear Energy Department, the ANPP executive staff, managers of main departments. The meeting was devoted to the programs implemented for the purpose of modernization and safety enhancement in the framework of the ANPP Unit 2 design life extension and to the process of outage-2019 implementation.

During the discussions the deputy minister gave a number of instructions, in particular, he called on to be consistent so that the modernization and refitting activities are performed adequately and in accordance with the established schedule.
