In the framework of the project “The ANPP Unit 2 Life Extension” implementation the regular fifth meeting of the Joint Coordination Committee ( JCC hereafter) will be held aimed at follow-up of the Agreement between the Government of the Russian Federation and the Government of the Republic of Armenia on cooperation in the area of the Armenian NPP Unit 2 life extension, dated December 20, 2014, with involvement of competent bodies (ROSATOM State Corporation, Ministry of Energy Infrastructures and Natural Resources of the RA, the RA SC NSR, IK ASE JSC, ATOMTEKHENERGO JSC). Prior to the meeting, a tour of the Turbine Hall by the JCC members is planned, along with photo and video shooting.

During the meeting the following issues will be discussed:                               

• Summary of 2017, current status of activities
• Commitments on the ANPP Unit 2 life extension for 2018-2019
• Activity plans
• RA SC NSR requirements to the license issue terms for the ANPP Unit 2 operation in additional period
• Scope and schedule of activities on the ANPP equipment replacement and modernization in 2018
• Cooperation in training area and area of nuclear energy popularization
