After modernization of turbine-generator set N3 on 7 November, 2018 at 9:18 the trial «start from rest» of the turbine generator was implemented in accordance with the requirement of the technical documentation.  

The process of the start from rest, as well as the operation of the steam turbine in an idle mode showed that the turbine had been designed, manufactured and installed in compliance with the requirements specified by the ANPP. In the idle mode a number of tests were performed which demonstrated the compliance of the turbine with the factory data, after which the steam turbine was shut down and now it is in a shutdown mode.

Currently activities on adjustment of electric circuits of the generator-transformer unit protection, as well as of the circuits of the new system of generator excitation are under implementation. Following completion of the abovementioned activities and performance of a number of tests on the generator, turbine-generator N3 will be connected to the RA grid.
