During outage-2019 in the framework of the Life Extension Program modernization and replacement of the heat engineering and electrical equipment of №4 turbine generator are being implemented. In particular, the 4^th generator replacement work is being performed. During the generator replacement its excitation system is also replaced. The new generator will have a static thyristor self-excitation system. The auxiliary water and oil-gas systems of the generator will also be replaced. Here the high-frequency exciter and the auxiliary generator, which were installed on a common shaft, were dismantled and removed. As a result the shaft became shorter. The new generator also has a new digital system for process parameter control.

The 4^th main transformer was also replaced, scheduled routine maintenance of autotransformer AT-1 is being performed.
