VISIT TO THE ANPP OF THE DELEGATION OF THE MOSCOW CENTRE OF THE WORLD ASSOCIATION OF NUCLEAR OPERATORS

On 25 September, 2018 the delegation of the WANO Moscow Centre visited the ANPP to conduct a working meeting on exchange of experience. Among the members of the delegation were:

1. Anatoliy Kirichenko – First Deputy Director of the WANO MC

2. Vadim Tarykin  – Head of WANO MC Representatives

3. Andrey Nosov – WANO MC Support Mission Program Manager

4. Viktor Livinskiy – WANO MC Representative at Zaporozhye NPP

The Armenian NPP management and the heads of the main departments participated in the meeting.

The Chief Engineer of the “HAEK” CJSC A. Grigoryan greeted those present and the guests were provided with the agenda of the working day.

Anatoliy Kirichenko spoke about the role and the mission of the Moscow Centre, the work performed and the employees who are the best specialists and leaders in the power industry.

The changes occurred in 2017 in the energy sphere, the schemes of constant progress and development were discussed. Kirichenko stated that it was necessary to work a lot, not to rest on the laurels, to do one’s best to ensure an effective and regulated work and to demonstrate results, it was required to build proper and effective market and financial relations. It was mentioned that thanks to the cooperation between the WANO MC and ANPP the activities aimed at safety level improvement were being completely performed.

Besides, issues related to clear prioritization of tasks, work control and management methods were discussed.

The most important objectives of the visit consisted in enhancing cooperation, organizing exchange of experience on activities aimed at safety improvement and in providing and discussing new suggestions and views.

The WANO MC advisers expressed their satisfaction with the presentations made, noting that the ANPP specialists who are members of the WANO MC Youth Movement have great opportunities, possess management skills and leadership qualities and the WANO Moscow Centre is willing to support and assist them.

Anatoliy Kirichenko mentioned that on 9-10 September a Meeting of the WANO MC Technical Directors/Chief Engineers took place in Bucharest during which those present greatly appreciated the presentation made by the ANPP Chief Engineer A. Grigoryan. On behalf of the people present at that meeting he expressed approval and gratitude for such an approach, high responsibility and professional work performed.

The General Director of the “HAEK” CJSC M. Vardanyan was presented with a letter of gratitude for the support in ensuring safety of WANO NPPs, for the contributions to the development of WANO programs. He was also congratulated on the occasion of his 55th anniversary.
