Since as early as 2004 technical assistance has been rendered to the ANPP in the framework of the EU assistance program under the AOSA project (Armenian NPP On Site Assistance).

According to the newly concluded 4-year contract the Enconet Consulting Ges mbH will continue providing assistance to the Armenian NPP in the area of technical, nuclear and operational safety. The main objective of the project is to assist in the ANPP safety culture improvement.

On September 15-16, 2022 the EU and Enconet representatives visited the ANPP to attend the kick-off meeting on the implementation of the new project.

During the two-day visit the visitors performed a walkdown of the ANPP production area in order to get acquainted with the scope of modernization work carried out at the plant both in general and in particular under the EU support.

During the meeting the areas and activities, for which assistance will be provided under the project, were discussed and made more precise.

At the end of the meeting the parties expressed confidence that the long-term cooperation between the ANPP and the EU would continue to be effective and stable.
