From February 6 to 10, under the IAEA technical support program the specialists of the Czech company UJV REZ, a.s. visited the Armenian NPP to conduct an expert mission. This mission was aimed at assisting in the implementation of the equipment qualification program for harsh environmental conditions during the emergency operation modes of the Armenian NPP.

At the end of the mission, the UJV REZ, a.s. experts, as part of the assistance to the Armenian NPP, will provide the plant with data on the equipment qualification of the Czech company, as well make a qualification assessment for the equipment that was not qualified for harsh environmental conditions. 

In general, the meeting was fruitful. Advice was received from experts on the organization of the equipment qualification activities. Technical assistance for the implementation of activities covered by the equipment qualification programme is also envisaged in future.
