In the framework of the Project of New Nuclear Power Units construction in RA, the Director General of the HAEK CJSC Eduard Martirosyan and the First Deputy of the HAEK CJSC Director General – ANPP Director Movses Vardanyan travelled to the Russian Federation in the delegation headed by the Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrustructures of the RA Gnel Sanosyan.

In the framework of the visit the Armenian delegation visited the Kursk NPP and discussed a number of technical and organizational issues with the management of the nuclear power plant, during the Kursk NPP construction site tour they examined in-situ the activities on the construction of a power unit with WWER- TOI type reactor.

In the course of the business trip to the RF on August 31, 2022 a meeting with the head of the “Rosatom” State Corporation Aleksey Likhachyov took place, during which issues on construction of new power units in the RA, extension of operational life of the existing power unit have been discussed, specific agreements have been reached, key priority areas and steps have been identified.
