REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ARMENIAN-RUSSIAN JOINT WORKING GROUP VISITED ANPP
On March 24, 2023, within the framework of the ANPP-2 project, the first session of the Armenian-Russian joint working group on staff training was held. The Russian delegation was headed by V. Proshkin. Representatives of the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructures of the Republic of Armenia, "Armatom SRI CJSC ", the National Polytechnic University of Armenia also participated in the session from the Armenian side.
Among the issues put on the agenda of the meeting, the main one was the current state of cooperation in the field of staff training. In his welcoming speech, E. Martirosyan, Director General of HAEK CJSC, emphasized that at the NPP professional, competent specialists, and the NPP management attaches equal importance to both the issue of replenishing the plant with new, young personnel, and the issue of continuous training of existing personnel. In this regard, the possible implementation of the ANPP-2 project can be especially prospective and promising in terms of stimulating the interest and aspiration of the younger generation for the power industry.
During the discussions, the parties stressed the importance of jointly elaborating issues aimed at expanding and further developing the Armenian-Russian cooperation in terms of staff training for the nuclear field of the Republic of Armenia, considering and including bilateral proposals in the submitted plan, as well as studying the need of the Armenian side for additional professional training programs and their implementation by Rosatom on the basis of the Technical Academy and partner universities of “Rosatom” State Corporation.
Opportunities for training/qualification in the most demanded areas for various categories of employees of the RA energy sector, including for personnel having no work experience, were considered.
At the end of the meeting, the head of the Russian delegation, V. Proshkin, expressed confidence that, unlike other countries, many projects in Armenia can be implemented at a faster pace and with greater efficiency due to the great potential of young followers of the industry specialists.
