Today, on September 13, 2022, with the participation of the representatives of the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructures, as well as those of "Armatom SRI" CJSC,     a regular meeting of the joint working group on the project of construction of new nuclear power units in the territory of the Republic of Armenia was held. The Russian delegation was headed by Victor Kolesnikov, the project manager, adviser to the president of «REP» JSC.

During the meeting, first of all, the list of working groups in all areas of the project was clarified, followed by discussions on the road map for the construction of new power units, on preparing the schedule for the preliminary feasibility study, the timing of the input data submission was agreed upon, approaches and programs on coordination of the terms of project funding were raised. During the discussions, the importance of involving local suppliers in the project process was emphasized. With this respect, the possibility of organizing/holding workshops was considered.

At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed to continue to work more actively on the implementation of the items of the minutes of the working meeting devoted to the "Comprehensive Program of the Russian-Armenian Cooperation in the Field of Energy and Non-Energy Projects" approved on 28.06.22 by M. Grigoryan, Deputy Prime Minister of the RA, in particular in terms of implementation of the project on a new power unit construction in the RA.
