ORGANIZATIONAL DIAGNOSIS FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE ANPP PERFORMANCE IMPROVEMENT

From 2 to 10 September, 2021 a pilot process of World Association of Nuclear Operators (WANO) organizational diagnosis was conducted. The WANO team was composed of experts from all the Regional Centers of the Association (Moscow, Atlanta, Paris, Tokyo), as well as from the London Office. N. Sorokin, the WANO President and V. Aksyonov, the WANO MC Director also joined the Mission final activities.
As a result of the plant tours, interviews with the NPP managers, team discussions, work observations and exercises performed during the work process at the ANPP, the expert team presented the preliminary outcomes of the organizational diagnosis process. The experts emphasized the Armenian NPP strengths in leadership, introduced the significant factors and proposals that will contribute to the ANPP performance improvement.
In the course of the final meeting held on September 10, 2021, E. Martirosyan, the HAEK CJSC General Director, while welcoming the WANO expert team members, highlighted the importance of the organizational diagnosis process for the Armenian NPP in terms of more efficient organization of the plant performance.
N. Sorokin, the President of the World Association of the Nuclear Operators in his welcoming speech noted the willingness of the NPP at such a crucial time for the plant, when extensive maintenance activities are being implemented, to host the WANO experts and to enable them to conduct the expert mission in a most possible transparent and impartial manner.
The meeting concluded with the two sides expressing the hope that the application of the tools proposed by the WANO expert team will contribute to the ANPP setting higher leadership efficiency indicators and further improving the NPP performance.
