Within the framework of the ANPP Unit 2opearting life extension project, the construction process of a new outdoor switchyard-110/220kV has started. The project is being implemented through funding provided by the Government of the Republic of Armenia according to decision №494-Ա of 7 April, 2022. The goal is to improve the reliability of the Armenian NPP operation and ensure the Unit 2 uninterrupted operation during the extended operating period.

The designing organization is “Kaskad Power Network” LLC; the work will be carried out by specialists of “Kaskad Energo” LLC.

The new outdoor switchyard-110/220kV is planned to be commissioned in May 2025.

Currently, preparatory work is underway to improve the construction site, install the necessary equipment and organize supplies.
