Within the period of 21- 23 December, 2021 upon the initiative of the Armenian NPP in the Training Center of the ANPP a workshop on « Operational decision-making» was organized jointly by the Armenian NPP and the WANO Moscow Center.

Twenty-seven representatives of the Armenian Nuclear Power Plant, as well as representatives of the WANO Moscow Center and the Beloyarsk Nuclear Power Plant took part in the workshop.

The training workshop included the following topics:

• Methodology of operational decision-making.
• Overview of decision-making process.
• Types of decisions: conservative, operational and strategic.
• Responsibilities of the participants and tools for establishing an efficient decision-making process.
• Practical examples of proper operational decision-making on the basis of four exercises:  

On the final day, the participants discussed the results of the practical exercises and provided their suggestions, which will be included in the leaflet and sent to the participants.

The participants also took part in a technical tour to the Armenian NPP.

All the educational materials were handed over to the Armenian NPP as part of the "Train the trainers" concept implementation.
