From August 25 to 28 an expert mission from the WANO Moscow Center was conducted at the Armenian Nuclear Power Plant. The visit was a part of enhanced monitoring program, which is one of the key processes of the "Action for Excellence" initiative.

During the visit, the experts evaluated the progress of measures implemented in the areas identified during the 2022 peer review. They also made projections for the next six months.

Vasily Aksenov, Director of the WANO Moscow Centre, and Sergey Vibornov, Technical Director, visited key facilities of the Armenian Nuclear Power Plant, accompanied by the ANPP Director, Movses Vardanyan. They toured the site, learned about the operation of the full-scope simulator, and joint steps toward the continuous improvement of safety and reliability.

This visit once again highlighted that the cooperation between the plant and WANO-MC plays a crucial role in visited the main control room.

The visit became an important platform for exchanging experience, fostering the mutual cooperation and taking improving production activities and ensuring a high level of safety and reliability.
