A JOINT ARMENIAN-RUSSIAN CONTRACT HAS BEEN SIGNED

Today, on December 15, the 22nd meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation between the Republic of Armenia and the Russian Federation was held in Yerevan under the co-chairmanship of Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Mher Grigoryan and Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Alexey Overchouk.

Within the framework of the meeting, in the person of Eduard Martirosyan, General Director of the “HAEK” CJSC, and Yuri Sviridenko, Head of Integrated Projects Management of the “Rusatom Service” JSC, a framework contract was signed on the implementation of measures to re-extend the design operating life of the Armenian NPP Unit 2.

According to the contract, it is planned to implement large-scope activities on modernization of the power unit, which will contribute to the safe and reliable operation of the Armenian NPP Unit 2. As a result, the lifetime of the power unit will be possible to extend until 2036.
