On February 18 of this year, a delegation led by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Sweden to the RA, Patrik Svensson, paid a study visit to the Armenian NPP.

Within the framework of this visit, the possibilities for cooperation between the Armenian NPP and Swedish industry-related companies were discussed, along with prospects for exchanging experiences and issues related to the application of innovative technologies in the field of energy.

Movses Vardanyan, HAEK CJSC First Deputy Director General-ANPP Director, presented the ongoing processes related to the Unit 2 operational life re-extension.

The parties also discussed issues related to the construction of a new power unit  in Armenia, within the framework of which the potential of Swedish leading technologies was emphasized. It was highlighted that the deepening of diplomatic and business ties could contribute to the expansion of Armenian-Swedish cooperation in the fields of energy and the nuclear industry.

The parties emphasized the importance of such reciprocal visits, expressing the belief that this visit would contribute to the further development of cooperation between the Armenian NPP and Swedish companies.
